SharedLogWiki:Privacy policy
From SharedLogWiki
What is a policy? Is it a set of rules that someone should remember to follow whenever he is adding new content and features?
Honestly I don't have the resources and time to worry about implementing and then remembering to follow a policy.
What I can tell you is that I promise to not share the personal information that this site collects during registration with any third parties.
I also will do my best to protect the database from being hijacked, but this is not something that I can guarantee.
This is especially difficult when dealing with open source. I mean, a cracker can download the source code just like anyone else and study it looking for ways to break into the server.
This makes it much more difficult to guarantee that your data will not be stolen.
It is customery for an open source projects to add a disclaimer that the software does not come with any guarantee whatsowever and creators of the software are not responsible for any damage that it may cause to the user due to faulty code.
The same goes about your privacy. Protect yourself - don't use the same email address that you using for your important work, don't use the same password that you use anywhere else. Pick relatively strong password when registering.
